So I'm not sure about this one. Yes, the kids are adorable. But I feel like it is a little weird that they are singing a song by the Smiths. They don't quite tap into the bleakness that Morrissey expressed. And yet everyone can relate to the desire to finally be fulfilled. And it is a lot more harmonically malleable than "I Can't Get No (Satisfaction)" (don't get me wrong, I like the Stones just fine). The arrangement, in fact, is beautiful.



I really got nowhere in that argument with myself, so, tell me, what do you think?

461. That's how many blog posts I had to catch up on tonight. Seriously what have I been doing with my time? Oh yeah, having a life. After spending some time with one of my favorite chicas, Mayrah, I went down to D.C. to see my mom. And now I am back so posts should be more frequent. Hopefully.

You should totally check out the vintage photos the Sartorialist has been posting, they are fantastic.

Also, the Sox (over here we like the red ones) are in first place over The Dreaded (as my dad calls the Yankees). Yes!!

I am back form the dead! Finals are over and it is now summer! Or it is supposed to be. Right now it is about 50 degrees and rainy. Blast. 

Anyways, my friend Mayrah is staying with me this week and has introduced me to Brielle McClain, who is a photography from Oregon. I'm pretty sure that Mayrah even knows Brielle, which is awesome because I like her photography a lot. Her colors particularly stand out to me. She has a pretty diverse portfolio of portraits, weddings, and life in general. Hope you enjoy!

The Sox aren't exactly doing so hot this year, but this makes up for it. David Ortiz is adorable and has always been one of my favorite players (along with Dustin Pedroia).

Also, I was just browsing my blogs and I saw that a posted was entitled "Unshowered Masses" and it struck me how perfect of a description that is for finals week.

(Also, this works on like ten levels for the title of this post so there. She not new, but she's just getting really really popular again. And this song isn't as new as some others, but I've only been really getting into it recently. And it is new school but it has old school influences. See?)

matt & kim.

So Matt & Kim came to campus yesterday in the honor of the last day of classes and it was so good. They were absolutely adorable. Matt was so sweet and funny in his "mcing". And Kim, she's just kinda a badass. But a badass who actually smiles and looks like she loves what she is doing, which is the best kind. And she's from Rhode Island. I just about fainted when I heard that (I'm from the Ocean State as well) and during the whole concert I just wanted to chant "Rhode Island!". It took all my will power to resist.

The concert really was great though. They had so much energy it was insane. When they played "Daylight", (they saved the best for last), everyone went crazy! They also played some random songs like "Jump On It" by the one, the only, Sir Mix-a-lot and "Better Off Alone", which everyone sang along to. The crowd really got into it, probably because were all so happy that classes are over. I kind of turned into a head banger for a little while, which was tons of fun. And now we just have to get through finals...awesome. Thankfully I only really have papers and portfolios, but still, it is very stressful.

Sorry my pictures are kind of crappy, I was much more focused on my head banging. Cause I'm all into that now.
